ABN RK BRS Merger Issue

RTV Raviprakash has brought a commotion in Telangana Politics with the news of the BRS and BJP merger.

The story says the merger deal is done and talks are on about how to accommodate KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao.

They also say three BJP leaders – Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, and Eetala are opposing this proposal. The Congress, recent Parliament election results, and Kavitha’s jail reportedly prompted this decision, Ravi Prakash reasoned in his Presentation.

BRS is already struggling to erase this murk. CM Revanth Reddy also picked up this line and is taking the news of this merger seriously to the people.

At this juncture, ABN RK also joined the bandwagon.

In his weekend editorial, RK wrote the BRS Top leadership is trying to make a deal with the BJP using Harayana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.

RK says KTR is talking to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah via Bandaru Dattatreya who was also previously instrumental in allying with the TDP, Janasena, and the BJP.

Along with the bail to Kavitha, the BJP is reportedly offering a Governor Post to KCR and a Union Cabinet Berth to Harish Rao.

Harish Rao may be made the BJP President going forward.

Harish Rao has also been proposed to be appointed as the state president of the BJP at a later stage. The Editorial says there was no discussion about KTR’s future. It is said that it is the preference of BJP leaders that KCR’s family should leave politics.

But the BRS chief was unable to digest the one-sidedness of the talks and the imposition of conditions on them.

The leaders of BRS proposed that there should be no merger and that BJP should contend with an alliance. But then, given the experiences of the past, the BJP leadership is not interested in trusting KCR.

With Kavitha in jail and the further developments likely to land the BRS in trouble, BJP is unlikely to settle for anything less than a merger.
