In his weekend column, ABN RK wrote an interesting piece saying that TDP and Janasena may comeback to the Telangana Political Space by allying with the BJP.
RK believes they can be a formidable force in the Telangana Politics.

BJP has put up a good show in North Telangana in the General Elections and the recent MLC elections.
In the MLC elections, the party has won two out of the three seats stunning the Ruling Congress Party and also the BRS that did not contest the election.

North Telangana was once a stronghold of the BRS. In the last assembly elections, the BJP strengthened after the defeat of BRS in North Telangana. Now, the party has further strengthened its position in this election.
The BJP has also made inroads in the teachers’ constituency in the Erstwhile Warangal district, which was a stronghold of the Telangana movement. But then, South Telangana has become a tough nut for the party to crack.

Since 2018, the party is relying on defections from other parties to strengthen itself. But the problem is that leaders of other parties are not trusting BJP to win here and form the government in the state.
This lack of trust means the BJP is not finding strong leaders here and is remaining weak.
There is only two ways of strengthening here.
The party can ally with the BRS or ally with TDP and Janasena.
Choosing BRS is an easy option but then, the BJP should think if it is ready to give a lifeline to the Pink Party.
BRS has the history of ditching Congress in the name of Merger. Also, there is a conflict in North Telangana. The Seat-sharing will not be easy there.
BRS would not agree to the be the minor partner in the alliance. If more seats are given, the purpose of the BJP will not be served.
If BRS comes to power, it will automatically try to downsize the BJP. The Saffron Party should not take the chance.
TDP and Janasena are not big players in Telangana. So they can be accommodated in a lesser number of seats.
Despite the fact that it is severely battered in Telangana, TDP has a vote bank which will comeback if they feel the party has good chance of coming to power.
Some of the old leaders of the party will also comeback if there is a chance of winning.
And then, Janasena can also lure the youth voters towards the alliance.
If there is anything the BJP has to worry, it is about the anti-Telangana image of Chandrababu Naidu. KCR has milked the factor so much. 2023 was the first election without the factor and KCR became vulnerable.
The BJP will think if there is such a chance again. But many believe that ‘sentiment’ factor has expired in Telangana.
If that part can be handled well, it is a winning combination.
