Xiaomi will unleash the Redmi K60 series on December 27. Ahead of that date, however, the company has taken to its official Weibo page to confirm important specs and features of the Redmi K60 series.
For one, the Redmi K60 series will arrive with three choices of SoCs: the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Redmi K60E has been confirmed to be powered by the Dimensity 8200, so it’s likely the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will find its home in the Redmi K60, with the Redmi K60 Pro to sport the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Some other confirmed features for the Redmi K60 series include:
- Up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage for the Redmi K60 Pro
- 5000 mm2 VC liquid cooling area for the Redmi K60 Pro
- 2K display with 1400 nits peak brightness, 12-bit support, 1920 Hz PWM for the Redmi K60 Pro
- Optical Image Stabilization for the Redmi K60 Pro
The company has also shared a slew of images, as seen below.
I like tech, simple as. Half the time, you can catch me writing snarky sales copy. The rest of the time, I’m either keeping readers abreast with the latest happenings in the mobile tech world or watching football. I worked as both a journo and freelance content writer for a couple of years before joining the Notebookcheck team in 2017. Feel free to shoot me some questions on Twitter or Reddit if it so tickles thine fancy.
