Time and again, Royal Enfield’s global custom program has wowed us with profoundly alluring mod jobs created by custom houses from across the globe. The latest one which caught our attention comes from Bombay Customs Works who took the Scram 411 and turned it into a quirky and cool supermoto.
Almost every component of this Scram has either been tweaked or replaced with an all-new custom unit. The motorcycle has been stripped of its stock bodywork and replaced with minimalistic panels. There’s a dirt bike-style front plate in place of the headlamp, a high-set front fender, and a ribbed single-piece seat sitting on the exposed sub-frame which ends into a petite rear fender. Multiple areas of the bodywork have been hand-painted to depict the culture and infrastructure of Mumbai.
The most conspicuous and significant hardware alteration comes in the form of smaller custom-made 17-inch spoke wheels. These wheels not only make it look like a pure supermoto but should also make the bike handle better. Wrapped around these rims are grippier road-biased tyres, as opposed to the stock bike’s dual-purpose CEAT rubbers. While the 411cc engine has been left untouched, the exhaust gases are channelled through an aftermarket canister.
