Finally, with iOS 16.2 update, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max users can tailor AOD feature

Apple iOS 16.2 users can customise the always-on-display mode on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. Know how to do it.

This year, Apple has introduced the Always-on Display feature for the first time on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, further customization has always been a feature that most iPhone users demand. Finally, with the release of the iOS 16.2 update, Apple has added the customization feature to the always-on-display (AOD). To make it more like an Android smartphone AOD feature, you will be able to remove the wallpaper with this update. Earlier, iPhone 14 Pro users had to see a dimmed-down version of the wallpaper, now they can choose to see the clock or time. It looks cleaner and much less distracting.

Looking forward to applying these changes on your iPhone? Check how to remove wallpaper from always-on-display on iPhone 14 Pro models. Ensure that you have updated your iPhone to iOS 16.2.

How to adjust your iPhone’s always-on display

    Step 1:

First open the Settings app on your iPhone, and then open the Display and brightness option.

    Step 2:

Under the display menu, check for the Always-on display option, and then tap on it.

    Step 3:

Now, you will find three togglable options against the previous option that could only turn the AOD on and off.

    Step 4:

Among three, the first option is to Show Wallpaper to let your iPhone display a dimmed version of your lock screen wallpaper on the AOD, just like the version that you were witnessing before the release of the iOS 16.2.

    Step 5:

Another option is to Show Notifications. If you turn this off, you won’t get any pop-up banners from your apps in the AOD option. This will make your AOD without any notifications.

    Step 6:

And if you turn off both notifications and wallpaper options, then this will leave just the date on the always-on-display mode along with any widgets you’ve added.

    Step 7:

And that’s all! This will remove the wallpaper from the AOD option.

Who can use the always-on-display option?

Sadly, this always-on-display feature is limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users. That means, apart from these iPhones, no one else can try this feature.
