    Delhi: Dense fog grips national capital; 21 trains running late. Check full list here


    Several train services were impacted due to fog in Delhi. The Indian Railways informed that as many as 21 trains are running late in the national capital due to dense fog resulting in low visibility in the region.

    Trains arriving late in Delhi due to fog on 1 January 2024:

    1. Train No: 20171 Rani Kamlapati Bhopal- Nizamuddin Exp is late by 4 hours

    2. Train No: 22811 Bhubneshwar- New Delhi Rajdhani is late by 3 hours

    3. Train no. 22691 Banglore-Nizamuddin Rajdhani is late by 1 hour

    4. Train no.12453 Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani is late by 1.15 hours

    5. Train no.12213 Yashwantpur-Delhi Saral Rohilla Duronto is late by 2.30

    6. Train no.12285 Secunderabad- Nizamudin Duronto is late by 3 hours

    7. Train no. 12381 Howrah- New Dehi Poorva Exp is late by 3 hours

    8. Train no. 12553 Saharsa-New Dehi Vaishali Exp is late by 2 hours

    9. Train no. 12427 Rewa-Anand Vihar Exp is late by 5 hours

    10. Train no. 12417 Prayagra- New Delhi exp is late by 3 hours

    11. Train no. 12367 Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Exp is late by 3 hours

    12. Train no. 12393 Rajendernagar-New Delhi is late by 4 hours

    13. Train no. 12723 Hyderabad-New Delhi is late by 4 hours

    14. Train no. 12155 Bhopal- Nizamudin exp is late by 2 hours

    15. Train no. 11078 Jammutawi- Pune Jhelum Exp is late by 45 minutes

    16. Train no. 13257 Danapur-Anand Vihar is late by 2 hours

    17. Train no. 14034 Katra-Delhi Express is late by an hour

    18. Train no. 15658 Kamakhya- Delhi Exp is late by an hour

    19. Train no. 12559 Banaras- New Delhi Exp is late by 2 hours

    20. Train no. 12189 Jabalpur-Nizamudin is late by 1.45 hours

    21. Train No. 12137 Mumbal-Ferozpur is late by 4 hours

    According to the IMD, ‘very dense’ fog is when visibility is between 0 and 50 metres, 51 and 200 metres is ‘dense’, 201 and 500 metres ‘moderate’, and 501 and 1,000 metres ‘shallow’. IMD has said that the mercury would plunge further in the first week of January 2024, with temperature hovering between 10 and 7 degrees Celsius at the Safdarjung Observatory in the national capital.
