Best phone 2023: Vote for the Reader’s Choice! (Update: Voting closed)

Update, December 15, 2023 (01:00 PM ET): Voting for the Reader’s Choice Award 2023 has now closed. The poll that appeared in this article has been removed to prohibit extra votes. We will now tally everything and announce the winner this weekend. Stay tuned!

Original article: We are now in the third round of voting for this year’s Reader’s Choice Award to figure out what YOU think is the best smartphone of 2023! We started with 32 phones on Monday, whittled that down to the final four on Tuesday, and now we’re left with just two phones in the running.

Here’s a chart breaking down the numbers for the final four across all polls:

Interestingly, this year’s final bout looks much like last year’s. If you remember, the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Pixel 7 Pro made it to the finals in 2022, with the Pixel 7 Pro skirting ahead at the last minute to take the crown. Will we see a repeat of that this year, or does the Galaxy S23 Ultra have this locked?

We’ll only know if you vote! To get voting, check out how the Reader’s Choice Award system works in the next section.

Best phone of 2023: How Reader’s Choice Award voting works

There are three rounds for the Reader’s Choice Award voting. We previously conducted the elimination round and the semi-finals, and now we only have two phones left in the finals. On Friday, one phone will walk away with the claim of being the best phone of 2023, as voted by our readers.

Here is the voting schedule and where each vote takes place:

    • Monday, December 11, 1:00 PM ET: The elimination round occurs here at Android Authority, exclusively in the poll below.
    • Tuesday, December 12, 1:00 PM ET: The semi-final round happens on this page along with our YouTube, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Threads profiles. You can vote once in each place, giving you four chances to vote!
    • Wednesday, December 13, 1:00 PM ET: The final round lasts 48 hours and happens on this page, YouTube, X, Threads, and in a 24-hour Story on Instagram and Facebook. That gives you a total of six chances to vote.

At 1:00 PM ET on Friday, December 15, voting will close at all outlets, giving the last round 48 hours of voting (except for the Instagram/Facebook Stories, so be sure to vote there within the first 24 hours). We will tally the votes and announce the big winner over the weekend.

Vote now for the best phone of 2023!

Are you ready to vote? Before you do so, make sure you understand that, for the poll on this page, you cannot alter your vote. In other words, don’t rush yourself! Take your time and go over the list in full, and only cast your vote when you are absolutely certain you know what it should be. Don’t forget to then vote in the polls on our social media pages (see rules above).
