The customer deliveries for the Hero Karizma XMR 210 and Harley-Davidson X440 will commence on October 15 across India; next purchase window for X440 will open on October 16

Hero MotoCorp has gained 13,688 bookings for its Karizma XMR and its deliveries will commence from October 15, 2023. The dealer dispatches of the faired supersport have commenced already as the motorcycle has started arriving at showrooms. The reservations for the first batch of the Hero Karizma XMR began on August 29 in India.

After a month, the largest two-wheeler maker in the world closed the bookings. While the Hero Karizma XMR was launched with an introductory price tag of Rs. 1,72,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it was increased by Rs. 9,000 from the start of October. The booking window will apparently open soon but Hero has not revealed the exact date.

Taking design inspiration from the original Karizma, the XMR 210 has a strong road presence and it derives power from a new 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine developing a maximum power output of 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a six-speed transmission and a slipper clutch is offered as standard.

The company has also revealed that the customer deliveries of the Harley-Davidson X440 will commence on October 15 as well. The next booking window will open on October 16 and the neo-retro roadster can be reserved through authorised Harley-Davidson dealerships across the country and online too along with select Hero dealers.

The test rides for the Harley-Davidson X440 began on September 1, 2023 for the pre-booked consumers and in just a month since its debut, more than 25,000 bookings were made. Due to the high demand, HD closed bookings for the X440 temporarily. It is available in a total of three variants namely Denim, Vivid, and S.

As for the performance, a new 440 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine developing around 27 bhp and 38 Nm is linked with a six-speed transmission. It comes with features such as an all-digital instrument console, all LED lighting, a slipper clutch, a dual-channel ABS system, KYB-sourced USD front forks, Bluetooth connectivity and so on. It is priced between Rs. 2,39,500 and Rs. 2,79,500 (ex-showroom) and competes against a host of 350-450 cc motorcycles offered in the domestic market.
