Asian Games Controversy: Did China try to ‘throw’ Neeraj Chopra out? What happened to India’s golden boy

Neeraj Chopra, India’s javelin throw champion, successfully defended his Asian Games gold in Hangzhou, China, but the victory was marred by controversies. Chopra’s first attempt was initially ignored, and he had to redo it, resulting in an 82.38-meter throw. Technical glitches and delays persisted, but he eventually achieved a season-best 88.88 meters. Other athletes, including Kishore Jena, faced similar issues. Despite the controversies, India had its best-ever showing at the Asian Games in athletics, winning 29 medals, including 6 gold, contributing to an overall unprecedented medal tally of 18 gold, 31 silver, and 32 bronze medals.
