India at Asian Games 2023 Live Updates, Day 9: Indian roller skaters clinched two bronze medals in men’s and women’s 3000m team relay events to match their best ever performance at the Asian Games on Monday. The women’s team of Sanjana Bathula, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu and Aarathy Kasturi Raj opened India’s account while Aryanpal Singh Ghuman, Anandkumar Velkumar, Siddhant Kamble and Vikram Ingale then sealed a second bronze. Elsewhere, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Auhika Mukherjee’s run ended with a bronze medal after they were beaten in the women’s doubles semifinal against Korea
The Indians athletes will look to build on the medal rush of day 8 as they take to the field on Monday. Parul Chaudhary and Priti will feature in women’s 3000m steeplechase. Meanwhile, in long jump, Shaili Singh and Ancy Sojan will be in action while the mixed 4x400m relay team will look to impress too. Amlan Borgohain in men’s 200m and Tejaswin Shankar in decathlon will also look for a strong outing.

In an unexpected start to its campaign, the Indian women’s kabaddi team was held to a surprise 34-34 draw by Chinese Taipei in a Group A match at the Asian Games.
Harmanpreet Singh and Mandeep Singh slammed a hat-trick each as India registered a thumping 12-0 win over Bangaldesh to storm into the semifinals. India will play the second-best team of Pool B in the semifinal on Wednesday.
