    Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be unveiled during the ‘Made by Google’ event on October 4.

    Google’s highly anticipated Pixel 8 series smartphones and the Pixel Watch 2 are set to make their debut on October 4, with India availability starting from October 5. As the launch date draws near, leaks have been providing glimpses of these devices. The latest report reveals press renders of the Google Pixel 8 series and Pixel Watch 2, shedding light on their designs and specifications.

    According to information from WinFuture, the base model, the Google Pixel 8, is expected to feature a 6.17-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro is said to sport a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,440 × 3,120 pixels, also offering a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

    In terms of memory and storage, the Pixel 8 is reported to come in 8GB RAM variants with options for 128GB and 256GB of storage. It will be powered by Google’s Tensor G3 SoC. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to offer three storage configurations: 12GB RAM + 128GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage.

    Both smartphones are said to feature a 50MP primary rear camera. However, the Google Pixel 8 will have an additional 12MP sensor with a Sony IMX386 for ultra-wide-angle shots in its dual-camera setup. The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, is rumoured to come with a triple camera setup, potentially including a 64MP and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, both models are expected to feature a 10.5MP sensor.

    Regarding pricing, the Pixel 8 is anticipated to start at €799 (approximately ₹70,200), while the Google Pixel 8 Pro could have a starting price of €1,099 (approximately ₹96,600).

    Additionally, the Pixel Watch 2 is rumoured to feature a 1.2-inch OLED-based display and could be equipped with a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset. It is expected to offer 2GB of RAM, various smart features including heart rate monitoring and oxygen saturation tracking, and may run on Wear OS 4. The smartwatch is likely to be powered by a 306mAh battery, with an estimated starting price of €399 (approximately ₹35,100).
