The states where the raids were on are: 30 locations in Punjab, 13 in Rajasthan, 4 in Haryana, 2 in Uttarakhand and 1 each in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
The National Investigation Agency carried out a major raid at 50 locations across six in connection to Khalistan-Gangster nexus. According to sources, raids were done to nab hawala operators and logistic coordinators of gangsters, who have links with Khalistan.
The states where the raids were on are: 30 locations in Punjab, 13 in Rajasthan, 4 in Haryana, 2 in Uttarakhand and 1 each in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, NIA has detained one person, identified as aide of gangster-turned-terrorist Arsh Dala, from Punjab’s Ferozepur. NIA is likely to question him in Chandigarh. Jora’s family, however, claimed that he is just a labourer, who earns only Rs 12,000 a month. The agency has served a notice under Section 160 CrPC.
NIA Releases List of 19 K-Fugitives
National Investigation Agency (NIA) had earlier released a list of 19 fugitive Khalistani terrorists residing in UK, US, Canada, Dubai, Pakistan and other countries, whose properties are likely to be confiscated, sources said.
The NIA had confiscated the properties of designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a member of the banned pro-Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).
According to reports, the action against these 19 fugitives will be taken under the anti-terror law UAPA. They have been accused of running anti-India propaganda from abroad.
Reward of Rs 10 Lakh
The NIA has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of designated terrorist Harwinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda and Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa. He is allegedly linked to the banned outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), accused of promoting terror activities in India.
Intensifying its crackdown on pro-Khalistan terrorists, the NIA had also announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh on BKI’s three associates named Parminder Singh Kaira from Ferozpur, Satnam Singh and Yadvinder Singh from Tarn Taran in Punjab.
According to the NIA, and four others are wanted in a case registered early this year related to the BKI’s terrorist activities aimed at disturbing India’s peace and communal harmony and spreading terror in Punjab.
