The G20 dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu was attended by chief ministers of several states. Bihar’s Nitish Kumar, Jharkhand’s Hemant Soren, and West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee were among the state leaders from opposition parties who attended the gala event.
The round dinner tables at the event were labelled on different rivers in the country. They included Krishna, Yamuna, Brahmaputra, and Ganga.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Assam CM Hemant Biswa were also present at the dinner hosted by President Murmu. Among other guests were Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, seen dining with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the pictures.
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupendra Baghel, Rajasthan’s Ashok Gehlot, Odisha’s Naveen Patnaik and Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal were among the leaders from opposition parties who gave the event a miss.
Baghel said he would give the G20 dinner a miss as no non-scheduled flights were allowed in and out of the national capital due to security measures for the G20 Summit.
