Savage Interactive, the developers of the hugely popular Procreate app, has announced a new iPad app called ‘Procreate Dream.’ The app is aimed at anyone who is a design professional, a seasoned digital artist or a beginner in the world of animation. Users can create 2D animations, videos, and share them in the form of a story to the world.

The app introduces a touch-centric interface, giving users new and intuitive ways to interact, navigate and edit projects. This includes new tools such as Performing, which uses gestures to automatically add keyframes as the tool records the actions.

The Procreate Dreams allows mixing drawing, cel animation, keyframing, video editing, and compositing, adding a new level of professional touch to the project you are working on.

The app takes full advantage of Apple Silicone and supports Procreate’s massive library of brushes. There are countless ways to customize your iPad’s gesture controls to make the app work best for you. The Apple Pencil isn’t required hardware for using Procreate Dreams, but it’s recommended to get one if you want to add a level of detail to the art.

The iPad does not come with Procreate Dreams. You’ll still need to pay $20 to purchase Procreate Dreams, no matter which iPad model you choose. Procreate Dreams is not a subscription-based app, so all you need to do is make a one-time payment of $20 to use the app for a lifetime. It will hit the App Store in November.

The launch of Procreate Dreams marks a significant expansion in pro-grade apps for the iPad, providing creatives with powerful tools. Procreate Dreams joins a growing lineup of tools designed for creators working on the go. Earlier this year, Apple also added creative tools to the iPad platform — Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro.
