The 2023 Tata Nexon was unveiled today and it gets a major design overhaul and feature upgrades over its predecessor. Here, we’ll take a closer look at the new Nexon facelift and see what it offers before it goes on sale on September 14.
2023 Tata Nexon Exterior Design Changes
The new Nexon facelift gets several changes all around the exterior. Starting with the front, the 2023 Nexon gets a split headlamp design that is in line with Tata’s current crop of SUVs, such as the Punch, Harrier and Safari. There are several design similarities with the Curvv concept too, such as the profile of the LED DRLs that also serve as the sequential turn indicators. The headlamps offer LED illumination and sit in a separate casing down low on the bumper. The new Nexon also offers LED fog lamps, which sit just below the headlamps, in the higher variants. Meanwhile, Tata’s signature ‘Humanity Line’ continues to get a gloss black treatment but is now slimmer than ever before. The upright bonnet, a faux silver skid plate, and muscular wheel arches complete the SUV look.
When viewed from the side, the new Nexon facelift offers a slimmer windowline garnish than before. Other design highlights include the thick wheel arch cladding and 16-inch alloy wheels. The outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) get a gloss black treatment and so does the C-pillar garnish. Silver roof rails, a shark fin antenna and an optional dual tone paint option with a black roof are other design features worth noting.
At the rear, the most prominent change is the new X-shaped connected LED taillamps. Other highlights include the ‘NEXON’ lettering on the tailgate, reflectors mounted lower on the bumper, and a faux silver skid plate. Â

The 2023 Nexon facelift’s infotainment system offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while the instrument cluster is capable of displaying a full view of the map apart from other vital information.
As for the trim, the new Nexon facelift offers a unique 3-tone dashboard with a leather mid pad, more angular AC vents and a dual-tone purple and black upholstery for the seats and door pads. Comfort features on the 2023 Nexon include front ventilated seats, a voice-assisted sunroof, wireless charger, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, air purifier, a cooled glovebox and automatic climate control.
