RS 56 crore due: Bank withdraws auction notice against Sunny Deol’s villa; Akshay Kumar steps up to help the ‘Gadar 2’ actor, state reports | Etimes

Sunny Deol who is enjoying the success of ‘Gadar 2’ recently hit headlines for a notice issued by a bank in his name over unpaid dues. However, the bank has now issued a corrigendum and withdrawn the notice citing a technical glitch. The corrigendum read, ‘Corrigendum to the e-auction sale notice dated 19.08.2023 published in the Times of India, Mumbai Edition (Pg 3) dated 20.08.23. With regards to sale notice in respect of Mr Ajay Singh Deol alias Mr Sunny Deol stands withdrawn due to technical glitch for the below maintained property…’ Further, it mentioned the address of the actor’s Sunny villa in Juhu which was said to be put on auction for sale. Soon after this withdrawal notice came into light, some reports suggested that Akshay Kumar stepped up to help the ‘Gadar 2’ actor and allegedly offered to pay a ‘huge chunk’ of the loan to save his Juhu home. The two actors reportedly had a meeting on the day the auction notice came out when this deal took place. Sunny will be repaying the loan to Akshay in a stipulated time. Although the exact amount that the ‘OMG 2’ actor offered to help with has not been revealed, reports claim that it could range from Rs 30 to 40 crores. There is no confirmation on these reports whatsoever. Notably, Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar’s films ‘Gadar 2’ & ‘OMG 2’ recently clashed at the box-office by releasing on the same day, August 11.For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
