JE Technology Desk: Smartphones in India have transitioned into highly advanced devices lately. While most users laud the upgrades, a few of the controversial decisions by smartphone makers are debated to date. Among the top ones include the omission of the 3.5mm audio jack.
However, Android Authority, citing Asus, reported that 36.5 per cent of Zenfone users tune into the 3.5mm jack for audio listening at least once a month, and 8.3 per cent use the jack at least one time daily. Users (26 per cent) also prefer Scheduled Charging, Asus notes. It delays 100 per cent charging time to a pre-defined time in favour of the battery backup. Google also offers a similar option through the Adaptive Charging feature. It indicates that users prefer longer battery life over quick charging.

Asus is among a few companies that still offer a High-Res audio jack in its flagship offerings. The company will launch the latest Zenfone 10 on June 29, which will likely have a 3.5mm audio jack. It may sport a 5.9-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, ZenUI 10 based on Android 13, 5000mAh battery, 200MP primary lens and a 32MP front camera. This will be a good option for buyers who plan to buy a compact phone in the future.
