Corns are hard layers of skin that usually occur on the feet and can be painful.
They can occur owing to a host of reasons, however, the constant friction and pressure on the feet are among the most common ones.
Although not dangerous or communicable, they are stubborn to get rid of.
You can try these natural and home remedies to quicken your healing.
Lemon
Lemon is acidic and features properties that can reduce corn-induced pain and inflammation.
Cut a slice of lemon and place it directly over the corn. Stick to the affected area using a bandage and leave it overnight. You can repeat this daily until you see it vanishing.
You can also squeeze and apply some fresh lemon juice to the center of the corn.
Garlic
Among many other ailments that garlic can heal, it also helps you get rid of corn since it is loaded with antioxidants that are effective in fighting off bacterial and fungal infections.
Take some garlic cloves, make a paste, and apply it over the corn.
Let it stay overnight and wash it with warm water the following morning.
Baking soda
Another kitchen ingredient that comes in handy to treat various health conditions, baking soda can come to your rescue in helping you get rid of corns as well.
It is the perfect natural exfoliant that softens them and then eventually removes them.
All you have to do is, mix some baking soda in warm water and then dip your feet in for 15 minutes.
Onions
Onions are packed with strong acids and nutrients that can come in handy to fight off various skin infections.
They soften the hard skin on corn and help them flake off after some time.
To take full advantage of onions to remove corn, apply some fresh onion juice to the corn and cover it with a clean piece of cloth for two days.
Castor oil
Castor oil is blessed with a good amount of vitamin E which is nourishing, hydrating, and moisturizing, all of which can heal corns.
The best time to perform this remedy is during the night right before hitting the bed.
Apply some castor oil on the affected area, wear a fresh and clean pair of socks, and wash your feet the next morning. Repeat daily.
