By Divya Bhati: The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, Tecno Mobile, has recently introduced its latest smartphone series called the Tecno Camon 20. The lineup consists of three models- the Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro 5G, and Camon 20 5G Premier. While the budget-friendly Camon 20 offers all the basic specifications for under Rs 15,000, the higher-end variant comes with 5G support. The Tecno Camon 20 series is designed for users looking for a visually appealing smartphone with enhanced camera capabilities and improved performance.
Let’s take a look at the price, availability, and specifications of the Camon 20 series.
Tecno Camon 20 series: Price and availability in India
Tecno has priced its budget smartphone, the Camon 20, at Rs 14,999 in India. The smartphone comes with a sole variant of 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory with expandable RAM support. This variant is available in Predawn Black, Serenity Blue, and Glacier Glow colour options.
On the other hand, the Camon 20 Pro 5G has two variants: 8GB RAM, 128GB internal memory, and 8GB RAM, 256GB memory options. Both variants are priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively. The Camon 20 Pro 5G will be available in Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin colour options.
As for the higher-end model of the series, the Tecno Camon 5G Premier, the company is yet to announce the price. The prices are said to be revealed by the third week of June 2023. The 5G Premier end is also available in Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin colour options.
The Tecno Camon 20 will be available for purchase from May 29 on Amazon, and the Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G will be available for sale from the 2nd week of June. The Tecno Camon Premier 5G will be up for grabs from 3rd week of June.
Tecno Camon 20 series: Top specifications
The Tecno Camon 20 series features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 500 nits. The series also integrates an in-display fingerprint sensor and comes with an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Powering the Tecno Camon 20 series is the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, and the smartphones come with VC liquid cooling as well as high polymer gel. All the smartphones in the series have an 8GB RAM option, which can be expanded by another 8GB with virtual RAM support.
In terms of battery, the Tecno Camon 20 and Camon 20 5G variants offer a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Coming to the high-end variant, the Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G, it comes with a 5000mAh battery and 45W fast charging support.
For photography enthusiasts, the Tecno Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro offer a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a macro camera.
Meanwhile, the Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G offers a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 108-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For the front camera, all the variants in the series come with a 32-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash.
All the smartphones in the series feature a glass leather design and have a slim profile of 7.8mm. However, in terms of connectivity, the Tecno Camon 20 supports 4G, while the Camon 20 Pro and Camon 20 Premier support 5G network connectivity.
