Google Tests New Generative AI Features In Search; Everything You Need To Know

Google, which has announced the AI capabilities for its search engine during the annual developer event Google I/O 2023 has officially announced that it has started to open up access to new generative AI capabilities in Search. However, those who have already signed up for the waitlist will only get an email notifying the testing phase.

Users will be able to test Search Labs experiments, including SGE (Search Generative Experience), Code Tips, and Add to Sheets in the US, according to the company. They may reduce part of the work involved in searching by using the new generative AI-powered Search experience, which will enable people to find new perspectives and ideas, comprehend a subject faster, and complete tasks more quickly.

“Instead of asking a series of questions and piecing together that information yourself, Search now can do some of the heavy liftings for you,” the business explained.

The new generative AI capabilities in Search will make it easier to become familiar with a new or complex subject, find rapid answers to particular questions, and find a variety of goods and factors to take into account when shopping.

Google explained that if you want to learn more, you may ask a follow-up question or choose a recommended next action, which will put you in conversational mode, right under the image.

Meanwhile, at the Google IO 2023, the company seems to have big plans with the integration of AI as the top priority. CEO Sundar Pichai along with senior employees announced a slew of services, including Google Workspace, Maps, and Photos that will get AI capabilities.
