GOOGLE Pixel users, who have been complaining about battery drainage and heating issues will soon get a solution in terms of a software update. The problem was arriving for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series users which Google has confirmed. According to a report, the company has said that it is due to the backend change within their application and would soon roll out an update that will fix the battery drainage issues.
When users began complaining about battery drain and overheated handsets, Engadget discovered the issue. According to the allegation, the Pixel 6 Pro user reported that the phone overheated even when turned off and placed on the wireless charger. Additional investigation revealed that the Google App was draining the battery.
Not only that, but users have taken to social media platforms such as Twitter and Reddit to express their outrage and frustration with the Pixel devices. The devices affected by the battery drainage and heating issues are the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro.
Some users attempted to install an older version as part of their search for a solution, but this did not resolve the issue. Even a factory data reset could not solve the problem. The device was also unable to charge, but after updating to an older version of the Google app, the charging rate increased, but the battery continued to suffer.
Pixel users are unable to do anything as there is no solution to the problem. Google has responded to the query, stating that an update will be released soon to address the battery drainage and heating issues.
