MS Dhoni was seen doing the finger on the lip gesture while walking towards the fans after the Chennai Super Kings’ training session ahead of their big clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Dhoni is speculated to be playing his last season for CSK as a player and hoping to lift the IPL title for the fifth time.

The Chennai Super Kings are enjoying a dream run in the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in what many have speculated to be skipper MS Dhoni ‘s last season in the league. Dhoni is widely regarded as being among the greatest cricketers India has produced, and he remains the only captain to win all 3 ICC trophies.
Dhoni is also the second most successful captain in IPL history, having led CSK to four titles, and they look set for a record-equaling fifth title as they are second on the table as things stand, and a win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will seal a top two spot for them, giving them two chances to reach the final.

The Indian cricket fanbase loves few people more than they do MS Dhoni, and the affection for him has been visible during the 2023 IPL season, as wherever CSK have travelled, the biggest cheers have been reserved for the 41-year-old. In CSK’s away matches, people have come out in yellow jerseys to show their love for Dhoni despite him playing against their local team.

Nowhere has the love been stronger for Dhoni than in Chennai. The decimal levels at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai have hit unprecedented levels when Dhoni walks out to bat or comes out for the toss.

Dhoni won the hearts of CSK fans during a practice session before the KKR clash. After hearing fans go crazy and shout his name, the Indian cricket legend calmed them down with a finger on the lip gesture. The four-time IPL winner ensured he made the day of the CSK fans who came out to see their stars train and interacted with them for a brief amount of time.

Despite being troubled with a knee injury and batting way lower than normal at the number eight position, Dhoni had a season with the bat that has been the best of his career as far as scoring rate is concerned. Dhoni has had a strike rate of 204.26, having made 96 runs in 11 matches.
