DC Design is a well-known brand globally, known for providing top-notch quality modification jobs with superior designs. The DC California, based on the BMW E64 6-Series, is one of their masterpieces. It’s a two-seater open-top custom roadster with a breathtaking visual appeal that is hard to resist. The 6-Series already comes with a reputation for being one of the best designs from BMW’s studio, and DC Design has managed to take it to another level. Let us know in the comments below if you think it’s one of the most beautiful works done by DC Designs.
For years, we have been fascinated and keeping track of DC Design’s work. Their signature style involves producing eccentric and luxurious designs that grab attention. DC Design, led by Mr. Dilip Chhabria, is among the world’s largest design studios, renowned for transforming regular cars into works of art. The body of the custom roadster DC California is characterized by numerous curves that enhance its aerodynamic appeal. The round bonnet smoothly merges into a rounded front fascia, featuring an ovular front grille. The aggressive air vents on either side of the front bumper complement the rounded grille. The sleek and slim LED headlamps are positioned on the lower side edges of the bonnet, resembling a complete human eye with eyelashes.
At the top of the bonnet, there are two massive bulges positioned just ahead of the dashboard. These bulges not only catch the eye but also aid in giving the car an aerodynamic shape to perform at high speeds. The elongated rear-view mirrors are mounted seamlessly on the lower edges of these bulges. DC Design has forgone the traditional windshield and pillars typically found on a car, lending it the appearance of a perfect track-ready machine.
Striking design
The side profile of the DC California is equally impressive as the front. The front fenders feature recessed air vents, and the multi-spoke silver alloy wheels are simply stunning. The car’s aerodynamic design is further enhanced by the rounded front and rear fenders with bulges over them. The DC California features a two-door layout, and behind the two seats, there are sloping roll structures that flow towards the rear of the car.
The rear of the DC California is equipped with tail lamps that span the entire width of the car. The most eye-catching feature, however, are the two centrally positioned trapezoidal exhaust outlets located just below the LED lights. The addition of sporty rear diffusers enhances the overall appeal of the car.
Although we don’t have detailed images of the interior, we can see some features such as the sports seats with walnut-coloured upholstery, a long high-placed body panel running between the seats, faux-fibre touches on the steering wheel, and door-mounted speakers for the audio system. The doors open upwards, similar to those of the Lamborghini Aventador. It’s important to note that the DC California is a unique, custom-made car and not part of a series production. This design is undoubtedly one of the best works from the DC Design Studio.
