THE KERALA STORY MOVIE REVIEW

IndiaToday.in reviewed The Kerala Story, backed by Vipul Shah. In the review, it was mentioned, “The Kerala Story specifically pitches one religion over the other and that is where the problem with the film lies. Sure, it does not want to malign Islam as a whole, but it definitely tries to provoke the Hindus and poke at the sentiments that they hurt the most. The film has been irresponsible.”

The review further read, “Adah Sharma shoulders the film, but is supported by several others. As Shalini, she uses a certain accent for her Hindi to portray that she is a Malayali. However, others like Pranay Pachauri and Sonia Balani steer clear of it. Adah stays true to her character, but it is the over-dramatisation that kills the film.”

The Kerala Story hit the big screen on May 5, 2023.
