Indian indices opened on positive note on February 21 with Nifty around 17,900.
At 09:16 IST, the Sensex was up 139.96 points or 0.23% at 60,831.50, and the Nifty was up 39.60 points or 0.22% at 17,884.20. About 1182 shares have advanced, 681 shares declined, and 115 shares are unchanged.
NTPC, Tata Steel, HUL, Bharti Airtel and HDFC Life were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Adani Enterprises, Axis Bank, Coal India, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank.
