PM Modi To Address Two Rallies In Tripura
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Tripura on Saturday to speak at two election rallies in support of BJP candidates, said Sunit Sarkar, the party’s state media coordinator, reported news agency PTI.
He stated that the PM would be received at the Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport by Chief Minister Manik Saha, BJP state election in-charge Mahesh Sharma, and the party’s state unit president, Rajib Bhattacharya.
According to Sarkar, Modi is expected to address the first rally at Ambassa in the Dhalai district around noon, and the second rally at Gomati is likely to begin at 3 p.m.
Bhattacharjee, Sambit Patra, the party’s northeast coordinator, and other leaders met during the day to talk about how to get ready for the prime minister’s visit.
Sarkar added that the PM might also visit the state on February 13.
In light of the PM’s visit, senior police officers claim that statewide security has been increased.
Mallikarjun Kharge To Launch Congress’ Mass Outreach Programme In Jharkhand
A party leader announced on Friday that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Jharkhand on Saturday to launch the state unit’s “Haath Se Haath Jodo” mass outreach program.
From the Gumani Ground in the Pakur assembly constituency in the Sahebganj district, which is approximately 400 kilometers from the state capital Ranchi, he will launch the 60-day “Haath Se Haath Jodo” (Join Hands Together) campaign.
Jharkhand Congress chief Rajesh Thakur told PTI that party workers will go door to door during the campaign to “expose the BJP-led central government’s anti-people policies.”
He stated that the program will begin in the Santhal region, which includes the districts of Sahebganj, Pakur, Dumka, and Deoghar among others.
Prior to the elections for the assembly and Lok Sabha in 2024, the region holds significance for both the UPA and the NDA.
On February 4, Union Home Minister Amit Shah went to Deoghar and spoke at the BJP’s “Vijay Sankalp” rally. He said that the saffron party would win all 14 of the state’s Lok Sabha seats in the elections next year.
