Janasena @ 12: Tale Of A Phoenix That Rose From Ashes
Janasena has turned twelve today. This is the first real celebration for the party after its inception as this Formation Day fete happens after the party tasted power for the first time.

A massive celebration is planned in Pithapuram, the constituency of Pawan Kalyan later today.

In 2024 Elections, Janasena had created a record of sort by winning 21 out of the 21 Assembly seats and two out of the two MP seats it has contested and Pawan Kalyan is the Deputy Chief Minister in the new cabinet.

This is not something easily achieved. Pawan Kalyan’s second innings in politics with Janasena is unique in many ways.

He formed the Janasena Party, a couple of months before the 2014 elections.

He chose not to contest that election and extended support to the TDP and the BJP. This is a sensation of sort because the two communities that support JSP and TDP do not see eye to eye.

Harboring the ambitions of becoming the CM some day and supporting a party that represent its rival community in a caste-ridden political society like ours is a courageous decision.

Pawan Kalyan faltered in 2019 by allying with Communists and Mayawati, spent political forces and paid heavy price by himself losing from both the seats and his party winning just one seat.

That led to a five years of insult, agony, and struggle for the Janasenani. Whatever political comment he makes, it is always greeted by insulting comments about his defeat and personal life.

A Regional Party surviving in the Opposition for ten years is impossible. Moreover it is very costly to run a political party. We have seen actors like Chiranjeevi and Kamal Hassan struggle and Rajinikanth even did not dare to make an attempt.

It is an easy choice for Pawan Kalyan to leave politics completely and focus on films where he can make more money but he stayed put and that paid off.

Pawan Kalyan never hesitated to make bold political choices.

He supported the TDP and BJP in 2014. He immediately took shelter with the BJP after the 2019 defeat dumping the communists. He can try to exploit the political confusion when Chandrababu Naidu is in jail but he announced the alliance right at the jail.

Pawan Kalyan was also amicable in the seat-sharing and even relented to the arm-twisting of the BJP with a sole motto of freeing Andhra Pradesh from the clutches of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He was most aggressive when aggression was needed and he was rightly defensive when that was needed. That has helped Pawan Kalyan so much. We have seen him deliver fiery speeches and at the same time, he also compromised on certain issues when it needed. That is precisely the flow of his political career so far.

The decisions, the calculations, the risks, everything paid off and Pawan Kalyan has earned great respect.

From 2019 to what he is today, Pawan Kalyan’s story is nothing but the tale of Phoenix that rose from the Ashes.

He is now striving to make his mark as an administrator in the next five years and is on the right track so far.
