Randeep Hooda’s Darkest Role in Sunny Deol’s Jaat

Sunny Deol’s upcoming film Jaat would feature Randeep Hooda portraying the main villain, Ranatunga. An introduction video of the character was also released a few days ago and has received a positive response.

Randeep recently opened up about his character in an interview, saying that it is the darkest role he has played so far in his career. He said that Ranatunga is evil and he simply believes in using violence and brutality and that this is something which also left Randeep in shock while he was filming.

Speaking of the film, Randeep said that it will explore the world of crime that is raw and unapologetic, and also praised director Gopichand Malineni for being clear on his vision about the character when the film was being prepared.

This is not the first time that Randeep has appeared as an antagonist in a film. He was previously seen in Salman Khan’s Radhe, where the character’s potential was wasted by a bad script and a bad director.

Gopichand Malineni has a history of bringing the best out of any actor who plays the villain in his films. People might remember Ranatunga, irrespective of the film’s eventual result at the box office.

But the biggest question is whether people would turn up in big numbers in theatres like they did at the time of Gadar 2. Indeed, Jaat has not created enough hype as per expectations since it is a new and different film, and is not a part of any franchise.

The audience occupancy on the first day throughout India will decide if Gopichand Malineni has a future in Bollywood.
