Indian television actress and winner of the popular reality show “Big Boss” Season 6 Urvashi Dholakia’s car was recently involved in an accident. The actress was travelling from her house to a film studio when the accident happened. As per reports, the actress’s Jeep Compass was hit by a school bus from behind. The actress was travelling to Mira road film studio for a shoot when this accident happened.
Many media websites have reported the incident. The actress escaped the accident unhurt and just called it an accident. She did not even register a case against the driver of the school bus who crashed into her Jeep Compass SUV. Kashimira police have recorded the statement of Urvashi’s driver. The reports do not mention how exactly the accident happened. It is not clear whether the accident due to the carelessness of the bus driver or Urvashi’s driver. The accident happened in Mumbai on Saturday last week.
Urvashi Dholakia has been in the acting industry for years now. She is best known for playing the role of Komolika in the series Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Other than this, she has played roles in many popular television series. Urvashi had started acting in series from a very young age. She was a part of television series like Dekh Bhai Dekh, Shaktimaan, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, Kahiin To Hoga, Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai and Chandrakanta – Ek Mayavi Prem Gaatha.
From the pictures that have now surfaced online, it looks like it was just a minor accident. The rear wheel arch cladding of Urvashi’s Jeep Compass has been damaged in the accident. The yellow paint from the school bus is also seen on the SUV. It looks like the bus driver accidentally rubbed against the SUV. It is quite possible that the bus driver did not see the car at all as it was in his blind spot. People driving such large vehicle often face this issue. This often leads to accidents. It is because of this reason, that vehicles like buses and trucks have a conductor or cleaner to make sure that the surroundings are clear. The report does not mention whether the school bus had any children sitting in it at the time of the accident.
Even though buses and trucks have a high seating position, the visibility from the ORVMs are very low. If you ever happen to drive behind a bus or a truck, it is always recommended to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle. If you are planning to overtake the bus or any other heavy vehicle in front of you, always ensure that the driver in front of you sees your vehicle. use pass light at night to signal the driver that you are attempting to overtake. Once the driver gives you the way, only then overtake and never try to squeeze into tight spaces assuming that the driver has seen your car. In many vehicles in India tail lights and indicators do not work properly or they are covered in mud. Staying alert near such vehicles can prove to be a life-saving decision.
