The Recent Election Drubbing left the YSR Congress on a Ventilator. The Party Rajya Sabha MPs left one after the other ringing danger bells.
Vijayasai Reddy’s resignation sends an indication that there is no future for the party and the morale of the party leaders and cadres will be hit really hard.

YSR Congress is left with just eleven MLAs in the recent elections.
In a Pressmeet, Jagan announced that he still has numbers in Rajya Sabha and warned his opponents to be careful.

Chandrababu Naidu seems to be hitting where it hurts.
Only a few days ago, three Rajya Sabha MPs of the party resigned. Party loyalist Mopidevi Venkata Ramana is also one among them.

After the 2024 elections, the YSR Congress has eleven Rajya Sabha MPs. After the resignation of the three, it has come to eight.
And now with Vijayasai Reddy’s resignation, the count has become seven.
If the Kakinada Port case is pursued hard, we may see Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and YV Subba Reddy resigning too. The sons of both the MPs are accused in this case.
Parimal Nathwani is one of the Rajya Sabha MPs from the YSR Congress. He is also a BJP man.
The number would effectively become four. Even they are not guaranteed to stay in the party.
Even when Jagan won 151 seats, Rajya Sabha MPs are the biggest bargaining chips he have.
He saved himself from his Corruption Cases and Viveka’s Cases using that power. The Center did not pay attention to his financial indiscipline for the same reason.
Now, the same MPs are slipping out one after the other, when he needs them the most.
Furthermore, the NDA Government in Delhi is already dependent on the numbers of the Telugu Desam Party. Each Rajya Sabha MP YSR Congress is losing is being added to the TDP’s tally. That is more of a problem for Jagan.
We may very soon see all his cases getting activated.
