After Game Changer’s fiasco, Ram Charan has pinned all his hopes on the film with director Buchi Babu Sana. According to sources, the film has been titled Peddi.
The announcement is expected to be made around Ram Charan’s birthday in March 2025. The film is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings.

The movie will feature Janhvi Kapoor opposite Ram Charan in the lead female role. Music for the film was initially supposed to be composed by the legendary AR Rahman.
Reports suggested that Rahman had already finalized some tunes for the film, which were claimed to be extraordinary. Buchi Babu openly expressed his excitement about working with such a legend on many occasions.

However, according to the latest reports, AR Rahman is no longer part of the project due to personal reasons, and Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) is set to replace him. This is a shocking development.
When AR Rahman was chosen over DSP, who has been a regular collaborator with Sukumar and his proteges, it was already surprising. DSP had delivered a blockbuster album for Buchi Babu’s last film Uppena, so many assumed he would be repeated. However, Rahman was brought on board instead.

Now that AR Rahman has walked out and DSP is reportedly stepping in, speculation is rife about the reasons. Perhaps Rahman’s track record with straight Telugu films hasn’t been great.
Additionally, after the Game Changer disaster, Ram Charan may want to play it safe, especially with music. DSP is considered more reliable in delivering tunes that resonate with today’s audience.
However, there is no official confirmation about this development yet, and it remains to be seen whether this is true or just a rumor.
