A high-level delegation of the Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and comprising Ministers Nara Lokesh and T.G. Bharat among others, is attending the World Economic Forum (WEF)-2025 at Davos in Switzerland to promote the Brand AP initiative and attract investments to the State.

The delegation is leaving for Zurich from New Delhi at 1.30 p.m. on January 19. The WEF is beginning on January 20.

According to an official release, before heading to Davos, Mr. Naidu and other members of the delegation will meet the Indian Ambassador and engage with industrialists from the Telugu States in the national capital.

After arriving in the Swiss city nestled in the picturesque Alps mountain range, Mr. Naidu will attend a dinner-meeting with industrialists and have a special meeting with ArcelorMittal Chairman Lakshmi Niwas Mittal.

On the second day, Mr. Naidu and his team will participate in sessions on green hydrogen and meet CEOs from companies like Coca-Cola, LG, Cisco, and others.

They will also meet UAE Economy Minister Abdulla Bin and join discussions on ‘Energy Transition’ and ‘The Blue Economy’.

The Chief Minister will meet more business leaders on Day 3 and return to Zurich  on the fourth day and from there fly back to India. The objective of the visit is to attract investments thereby creating job opportunities for youth.

It has been stated that in just seven months, the NDA Government in Andhra Pradesh signed agreements for investments exceeding ₹4 lakh crore for projects like ArcelorMittal Steel and a BPCL refinery. The ultimate aim is to create 20 lakh jobs over the next five years, for which a task force was formed with Mr. Lokesh as the chairman, and 15 new policies were brought to spur growth.
