Junior NTR somehow managed to break the infamous Rajamouli curse with Devara. Though the film was just a middling product, it was marketed well and could put decent numbers of the box office, making it a decent follow up film for Tarak after RRR.
However, it appears that this isn’t the only curse that NTR must be breaking now as he appears to have another curse in the making.

Apparently, it is nearly confirmed that NTR will be working with Tamil director Nelson sooner or later. Producer Naga Vamsi is extremely confident about the collaboration and is hinting that he’s going all out to make it happen.
As exciting as a possible coming together of NTR and Nelson might sound, it comes with its own set of non-auspicious baggage. It comes with an infamous tradition of Tamil directors messing up Telugu heroes.

Recently, it was Game Changer which was directed by Shankar. The film was unnecessarily elongated, poorly promoted, and what not. It was a blatant mistake from concerned parties to work with Shankar – this was the opinion of fans on social media.
Not just that – the likes of Spyder, Warrior, and Bro Avatar(PK) were all failure models of Tamil directors messing up projects with Telugu stars.

There’s an infamous lineage of this phenomenon that NTR and Nelson will have to counter if at all they are collaborating for a film. Though these are just sentimental moments and the ultimate deciding factor is only the content, this phenomena will obviously play in the minds of everyone.
As it appears, NTR will have to break the “Tamil directors” curse after successfully breaking the “Rajamouli” curse. This is going to be a task and a half.
But considering the way Nelson presented Rajini in Jailer, if he can emulate something like this with NTR’s film, if at all it happens in the first place, then things look really promising.
