According to the buzz, Suriya is now open to working with Malayalam directors.

He has heard stories from three Malayalam directors in recent days, including Manjummel Boys’ famed Chidambaram, Amal Neerad, and Basil Joseph. Among them, Suriya has given the green signal to Basil Joseph’s script.
On the other hand, a few days ago, there was strong speculation that Lokesh Kanagaraj would direct his dream project, Irumbu Kai Mayavi, with Aamir Khan. This superhero movie was initially planned for Suriya.

After Irumbu Kai Mayavi was dropped from Suriya’s schedule, it seems that he is now set to commit to another superhero movie under Basil Joseph’s direction.
However, there is still no official confirmation on this, and Basil Joseph is next set to direct a superhero movie titled Shaktimaan with Ranveer Singh in the lead. If the buzz proves to be true, he may direct Suriya’s movie once he completes this project.
