A video from Delhi has gone viral, showing a mother-daughter duo abusing a man during a heated parking dispute. The young woman was caught on camera shouting ‘maa-behen’ slurs, with her mother later jumping in to defend her.
The argument started when the man, to whom these abuses were directed, asked them to move their improperly parked car.

The mother accused the man of misbehaving, but many on social media were quick to call out the duo’s behavior. Many had the collective statement, that if it was a man hurling such abuses, the entire Internet would demand his arrest. Why should this be considered acceptable for women?
Another set of users were quick to judge the young woman, who was abusing someone else’s mother in front of her own. Saying that it says a lot about her upbringing.

Many users criticized the apparent gender bias. “It’s ironic when women use abusive language, it’s seen as bold or empowering, but when a man does the same, it’s labeled aggression or harassment.”
Others slammed the entitlement, with one sarcastically calling the incident a “great example of women’s empowerment.”

Another user mocked the parking mistake, saying, “Why block others by parking so recklessly and then start abusing?”
The debate about double standards in public behavior regarding gender isn’t a new one. While many agree abusive language is unacceptable, they argue it should be condemned equally, regardless of gender.
Authorities have not yet commented, and the claims in the video remain unverified. However, amidst the growing public outrage over the “pseudofeminism” cause in India, it must be addressed and condemned to eradicate this neo-discrimatory practice.
