YSRCP Directionless

YSRCP Directionless

YSRCP is facing a complex situation. The party is facing cold treatment from its senior leaders and there is a dearth of proper coordinators in various areas.

With no guidance, the party cadre is directionless and this is impacting the party or what is left of it. With Jagan planning to go into people this month, the top leaders intend to fill the coordinator posts at the earliest.

But ever since the party lost power, many senior leaders are showing little interest in party activities. After losing from Vizag East, ex MP MVV Satyanarayana seems to be in no mood to participate in party activities.

He stayed away from party demonstrations against electricity charges and farmers, despite being the constituency coordinator.

Meanwhile, there is pressure from second tier leaders for a suitable coordinator. It is said that the top leaders are on a look out for an active member to fill the gap here.

Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders GVMC mayor Golagani Harivenkatakumari and Molli Apparao have been lobbying for the coordinator’s post. It is said that Molli Apparao is putting pressure on party leaders through party district chief Gudivada Amarnath. But the top leaders are on the lookout for better options, it is being said.

In Bhimili, ex minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao had bid goodbye to the party. While the party approached Gudivada Amarnath to take over the coordinator’s post, he is said to be disinterested. He is reported to have asked for Pendurthi or any constituency in Anakapalli.

So is the case with Vijayanagaram district parishad chairman Chinna Srinu who wants S.Kota or Etcherla constituencies. For now, Gudivada Amarnath has been asked to look after Bhimili constituency.

There is talk that given the situation, the top leaders are said to be contemplating bringing in fresh faces. There are rumours that ex MLA Chintalapudi Venkataramaiah and ex MLA Tippala Nagireddy’s family members are interested in the post. One of them might get the post, it is said.

Amidst such confusion, the party is looking to fill in spaces with new faces, in time for Jagan’s districts’ tour.
