As we reported earlier regarding the news of Triptii Dimri exiting the much-awaited third installment of the Aashiqui franchise, a new female lead is set to take over her place.
Triptii Dimri’s screen presence was felt in Animal and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 recently where she gained a lot of new fans for her decent performances. With everything going her way, she was also supposed to be the main female lead alongside Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3.

She recently left the project for uncertain reasons and it was a task for the team to find a new leading lady for the franchise. As it stands, Imanvi Esmail is the name being flooded around to play the female lead opposite Kartik in Anurag Basu’s film.
Imanvi Esmail will be seen in main lead alongside Prabhas in his upcoming film Fauji. The buzz created by Esmail has been decent and it remains to be seen if she will be the final choice for Aashiqui 3.

As for Triptii, she was replaced by the makers as they wanted a more ‘innocent appeal’ from their actress. While the statements provided are highly inappropriate, Tripti hasn’t responded to any of these statements yet.
The film itself has had several title related conflicts which might see the film have a different name and not Aashiqui 3.

After all these controversies and statements used by the makers to replace Triptii, only time will tell how the film will turn out to be.
