This Sankranti, there is a triangle clash between Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj, and Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam, all clashing at the box office. However, for known reasons, none of these films have the usual “spice” that typically ignite box office sales during Sankranti clashes.
All three films appear relatively mild within their respective spaces, and as of now, their pre-release buzz remains subdued.

Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel was initially under consideration for Sankranti but eventually dropped out due to pressure.
The reason behind this is that Thandel is produced by AlluAravind, who did not want to compete against Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan’s Game Changer. As a result, Naga Chaitanya compromised and moved Thandel out of the Sankranti race.

Looking at the current scenario, if Thandel had stayed in the race, it likely would have generated far more buzz than the other films due to its fresh backdrop, something that audiences are currently craving.
For this reason, Akkineni fans are expressing disappointment, feeling that Nagarjuna has shifted focus towards his businesses, leaving his career in neglect. They also feel that Akhil tends to take long breaks between films, only returning after failures.

While Naga Chaitanya is progressing steadily in his career, some fans believe he isn’t ambitious enough to utilize release dates or step up the game strategically.
Even Anil Ravipudi applied significant pressure on Dil Raju through Venkatesh to have Sankranthiki Vasthunam released during Sankranti. Without this push, the film would have also been out of the Sankranti race. Anil Ravipudi leveraged Venkatesh to ensure the release was timed perfectly for Sankranti, as they didn’t want to miss out on the best date.
On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna were more easily convinced to step out of the race, missing the prime release date of the year for Thandel.
This has left Akkineni fans disappointed, as they believe having the right film in hand, Thandel, could have created much more buzz and impact than these films currently in the Sankranti lineup.
