Already Lost In The Jungle?

Akshay Kumar and the grand team of stars are on constant move to film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, the third instalment of the highly-popular Welcome franchise.

A source recently revealed that the team will soon head to UAE for a 15-day shoot to film three songs and multiple comedy scenes, with beautiful backdrops featuring Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al-Khaimah.

Following this, the team will set foot in Kashmir’s majestic jungles and glaciers in mid-2025 to film the final phase, including the grand finale.

While coordinating such a huge number of ensembles is always difficult, director Ahmed Khan has assured the audience of a cinematic experience ‘like never before’.

But this does not guarantee a bed of roses for the film. With families still sitting together to watch it on TV, ‘Welcome’ has been a franchise that has secured its place in every household, elevating itself as a cult classic.

‘Welcome Back’, the sequel to the 2007 film could not achieve its predecessor’s success due to a number of factors including the replacement of Akshay Kumar with John Abraham.

‘Welcome to the Jungle’, filled with a big list of ensembles, is being directed by Ahmed Khan, which adds to its difficulties. His films have mostly been bad, with Heropanti 2 turning out to be a complete disaster.

The writer of the film is Farhad Samji, also a reason for concern due to his poor writing performances in ‘Coolie No. 1’ and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.

With such big questions being raised at the film’s crew, it will be interesting to see whether the director and writer will pull their acts together for this film, or will they turn the once cult-classic into a total fiasco.
