In unfortunate news, an Indian gym trainer has been accused of posing as a RAW agent and sexually assaulting an NRI woman. The Canadian woman of Indian origin was blackmailed and exploited multiple times as per her account in the police FIR.
Sahil Sharma is the main accused named in the report, who allegedly spiked her drink during their first date after the two met on the online dating platform, Tinder. The police report gives grim details of the case including Sahil involving his friend, Arif Ali, in the abuse once the woman fell into an unconscious state.

The gym trainer from Agra, who posed as the RAW agent, tried to lure her back to India in August, promising her marriage but instead, she was assaulted again by both men. She didn’t report the case earlier as she feared her voice wouldn’t be heard because of his government connections.
Sahil even made the victim delete all the private chats from her phone to protect his so-called “RAW identity” which has compromised incriminating evidence in the case. He went on to blackmail her with her private images after the woman informed him that she got pregnant.

It must be horrifying for the NRI woman, after bearing abuse and threats, as both the accused are still at large. The police need to take swift action and give strict punishment against the criminals.
