It has been a year since Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar hit the screens. While the movie grossed around 600 crores worldwide and was considered a decent success, its clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki impacted the collections of both films.
Now director Prashanth Neel has expressed his dissatisfaction with its overall performance.

In a recent interview, Neel shared his mixed feelings about Salaar’s theatrical outcome. He admitted, “I am not completely happy about it. I’m a little disappointed with the effort I put into the first part.”
Reflecting on his approach, he added, “Perhaps I became complacent after the success of KGF 2 and took Salaar for granted. But that has motivated me to ensure Salaar 2: Shouryanga Parvam surpasses all expectations.”

The director revealed that he has invested significant effort into the sequel’s storyline. He called it one of his best works to date.
“The writing for Salaar 2 is probably among my finest. I’ve decided to make up for the first part more than I can imagine,” he said. “It will certainly be more than the audience is expecting. Salaar 2 will be one of my most confident projects.”
