Pushpa 2 is still wreaking havoc at the Hindi box office. The film has crossed a worldwide gross of 1200 crores and is heading towards the 1500 crore milestone.
However, there has been some discrepancy between the trade figures and the collections provided by the producers.

The producers claim that Pushpa 2 has collected 632 crores net in Hindi in 15 days, whereas trade reports state that the film has made 562 crores.
There is a huge difference of 70 crores. An inflation of 3-5% is normal in the industry, but in this case, many believe that the producers have inflated the collections beyond a reasonable margin.

Many on social media are asking how is this even being allowed? It is already a huge blockbuster. What’s the need to inflate it so much?
A few months ago, Kalki 2898 AD was said to have made more than Rs 1000 crore at the box office, according to the producers. But some trade analysts (referred to as samosa critics on social media) pointed out that the producers were giving inflated box office collections.

Now, a journalist and movie critic with the Twitter/X handle Samthebestest (Sameer) has questioned, “The difference between producers and trade figures for Pushpa 2 is higher than Kalki 2898 AD. Why are Samosas silent?”
