There are a few directors left in the industry who accept the failure of their films. Vidhu Vinod Chopra turned out to be one of them considering that the prequel documentary Zero Se Restart has been a disaster at the box office.
While speaking at an interview, Vidhu addressed the marketing strategies where certain filmmakers purchase their tickets and spread lies related to the collections when a film is not doing well.

He further stated that he would honestly accept that his film failed to get a good opening.
Vidhu said that he had spoken about the film’s failure to his daughter currently studying at Stanford University, who questioned him on whether she should sympathize with him or get inspired. Vidhu replied to her by telling her to choose the second option.

Vidhu’s words about ticket purchases are undoubtedly true. However, there is no evidence to prove the same.
There have been certain films where filmmakers have provided inflated numbers about the overall collections.

Furthermore, none of them agree to reveal the exact number of profits that they have made from the film.
The Hindi film industry once used to be a world where everyone was well aware of the formula needed to become successful.
But as audiences have refused to show interest in certain films, the producers are opting for other strategies so that no one can remove them from their respective positions.
The process will continue in the upcoming days. However, the film industry will survive until audiences line up outside the ticket counters and producers make films that can appeal to viewers of all age groups.
