Former Minister KTR filed a quash petition in the High Court requesting an urgent hearing amid the speculations that he may be arrested very soon.

The ACB registered the case on December 19th, alleging misuse of government funds of 55 Crore during the Formula E race conducted last year while the BRS was in power. KTR was named as the A-1 in this case.
The FIR has been filed under Sections 13(1)(A) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, as well as Sections 409 (criminal breach of trust) and 120(B) (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

BRS cadres are in high tension about the arrest and are preparing for wide-scale protests across the state when it happens.
It is widely discussed how KCR will react to this arrest.

Previously, when Kavitha got arrested in the Delhi Liquor Scam, KCR did not come out and talk anything about it. He did not even go to Delhi to meet his daughter in jail.
It will be a different and difficult scenario when KTR will be arrested.
In the absence of KCR for the past one year, KTR is steering the party. He is handling the party affairs and is leading the party against the Government in and out of the Assembly.
The morale of the cadre will be very badly hit if KTR is arrested.
BRS lost the 2023 Assembly elections and the defeat came as a rude shock to the entire party’s rank and file. To make things even worse, the party drew a blank in the Parliament elections after losing deposits in seven out of the total seventeen seats.
It has to be seen if KCR will confine to Farmhouse or come out and steer the party.
