NEW DELHI: Accused Rahul Gandhi of promoting a feudal mindset, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that “their (Congress party‘s) intoxication with power blinds them to the realities of a changing India”.
On the recent poll victories, Pradhan said “credibility, trust in leadership, and policies that resonate with people are cornerstones of our victories”, highlighting BJP’s consistent ability to connect with voters, even in challenging terrains like Haryana and Maharashtra, where anti-incumbency often holds sway.
He rejected criticism of National Education Policy being ideologically driven, labelling such claims as “intellectually confused”. Addressing allegations made by Congress’ Jairam Ramesh about confrontational federalism, Pradhan retorted, “Is NEET not implemented in Congress-ruled states? Their opposition is opportunistic, not principled.”
When asked about Rahul’s allegations of govt rewriting history under RSS influence, Pradhan dismissed them as baseless. “Is teaching quantum physics in 6th grade an RSS agenda? If preparing our children for global competition aligns with such an agenda, what’s wrong with it?” He accused the opposition of perpetuating a feudal mindset by prioritising their family’s narrative over broader historical contributions, such as those of Sardar Patel and Subhas Chandra Bose.
