NRI Student’s Brutal Murder By Roommate

A heated argument between two friends became fatal for a 22-year-old Indian student in Canada who was brutally stabbed to death.

Gurasis Singh, the first-year Business management student at Lambton College, had an altercation with his roommate on December 1, which escalated in the kitchen. Crossley Hunter, 36, got enraged and allegedly stabbed the youth multiple times.

The Police responded quickly to the emergency call and immediately arrested Hunter. Singh’s life, however, couldn’t be saved as he was pronounced dead on the scene with critical injuries.

Not just his friends and family but even his college was reeling from the tragic incident. Lambton made a public statement on social media, describing Gurasis as a promising young man and extending condolences to his close ones.

The entire community, including the college staff, is open to helping the grieving family. They have even offered to help with funeral arrangements and repatriation arrangements.

On the other hand, the Sarnia Police Chief gave out a public statement disclosing that Hunter was charged with second-degree murder. He further confirmed that the crime doesn’t seem racially motivated but the investigation is still ongoing.
