The Chikkadpally Police have registered cases under Sections 105 and 118 of the BNS Act following the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroads.
The cases were filed against the theatre management for negligence in ensuring crowd safety and Allu Arjun’s team for failing to notify the police about the actor’s arrival in advance.

On Wednesday night, massive crowds gathered at the theatre for the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. They were eager to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. Chaos erupted around 10:30 PM as fans pushed against each other. This led to a stampede.
Revathi, a 39-year-old woman from Dilsukhnagar, was among those caught in the chaos. She attended the event with her husband Bhaskar and their children, Tej (9) and Sanvi (7). Sadly, Revathi and Tej collapsed amidst the suffocating crowd.

Despite the stampede, the premiere event continued inside the theatre. Meanwhile, Revathi and Tej were rushed to Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital.
Revathi was declared dead upon arrival. Her son Tej is undergoing critical care. Doctors suspect his condition is due to severe hypoxia and lung injuries. Timely CPR by bystanders and police helped save his life.

The incident has triggered widespread criticism on social media. Many have called out the lack of safety measures at the venue.
Questions have been raised about organizing high-profile events in venues that cannot handle large crowds. This has reignited debates about accountability and the need for stricter regulations for such gatherings.
