Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel received a mixed response when it came out back in 2023. Despite this, the makers renewed it for another season and the actress has now shared an update about the same.
Priyanka posted a video through her Instagram Story on Friday, revealing that the shooting has been completed now. The Story included a chair featuring her character name Nadia alongside the initials of her name.

Priyanka was additionally spotted with a coffee cup in her hand and this has now hinted that Season 2 of the action drama might arrive earlier than expected.
Even though the first season was one of the most-watched original series outside the US, the response was still not up to the mark as per expectations.

Furthermore, a few reports claimed at the time that Amazon suffered a loss worth $250 million and the company’s CEO Andy Jassy requested a budget report analysis for similar shows that did not perform well.
However, since the show ended on a cliffhanger, audiences additionally expressed excitement to watch the new season. The makers still kept the details of Season 2 a secret and did not share the overall progress through any platform.

Considering that the series is created by the Russo Brothers’ production company AGBO, expectations are sky-high.
Season 2’s response might witness an improvement considering that it will answer everything that remained a mystery in Season 1. The other reason is that Joe Russo will helm all the episodes of the upcoming installment.
Although Priyanka Chopra might not return to Bollywood anytime, she already has a huge fanbase in India which might contribute to the success of Season 2.
In case the makers have added new characters, there is a possibility that viewers might get to witness better action sequences shot on a bigger scale. However, everything will get clear once Season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video.
