Drunk driving is becoming a norm in the city of Hyderabad. The ever-increasing number of cases is raising concerns about the safety of the people as they go on with their day-to-day commute. The number of registered cases for drunk driving has already crossed the 50,000 mark this year and is expected to rise as the New Year approaches.

The data showcases that the number of two-wheeler owners indulging in the act far outnumbers the four-wheeler cases. Somehow, it raises even more concern as two-wheelers don’t have any sort of safety features to prevent injuries.

The DCP of Traffic, Rahul Hegde, brought concern to the topic, revealing that around 3,750 automobile users were arrested for the offense, with as many as nearly 100 people thrown in on just one day.
