Kamala Harris: Poll guru Nate Silver slams Kamala Harris’ campaign for blaming hurricane Helene for election defeat
The advisers in Kamala Harris campaign gave many excuses for Harris’s defeat without acknowledging any shortcoming on their part.

Kamala Harris’ campaign in their first interview since the election defeat put their foot in the mouth making strange statements all pointing to no fault of the campaign in the VP’s defeat in the election. In a nutshell, they said they had a shorter time to campaign, and then there was the hurricane; difficulty in distancing Kamala Harris from the Biden administration; and so on and so forth. Kamala Harris campaign adviser David Plouffe also said their internal polling never projected that Kamala Harris was ahead of Donald Trump and hence they were surprised when the external polls painted a rosy picture for Harris.
The interview was a misfire people could see how the campaign was not in control of Kamala Harris. Poll guru Silver Nate who predicted Donald Trump would win the close battle but then left his model during the counting as it did not turn out to be close said Harris campaign advisers appeared to be the most non-agentic people.

“They don’t even see themselves as victims so much as Non-Player Characters with no will of their own,” Silver wrote,
“The idea the hurricane was some massive October surprise that specifically disadvantaged Harris is just so weird,” Silver wrote. “Relatively speaking, NC/GA even showed less vote swing than other swing states.”
The podcast made things murkier for Kamala Harris who is trying to be the race. After her vacation at Hawaii, Kamala Harris issued a video consoling her supporters but was ridiculed for her disheveled and broken appearance. The VP has reportedly told her allies to keep her options open for 2026 California Guv race or 2028 presidential race.

Explosive claims by Harris campaign’s first interview after election defeat

> Kamala Harris’ campaign said they wanted the Vice-President to go on an interview for Hot Ones. But the show declined to interview her.
> They said they had only 107 days and then there was the hurricane, talks about how she did;t do interviews which they claimed was false as Harris was doing plenty of interviews in her own way.
> They said the internal polls never showed Kamala Harris was leading Trump and hence they were surprised to see the predictions of the external polls.
